Jared Small
Jared Small was born in Memphis, TN in 1980. Small's passion for art spurred his desire to pursue a career as a visual artist. He studied at The University of Memphis where he was introduced to a number of new styles and mediums.
Oil painting is his forte although he excels in graphite, pastels and watercolors. Small describes his style as transitional realism. He seeks to capture beauty, emotions and the complexity of human nature on canvas.
Small's inspiration comes from the scenes and activities of everyday life. His ambition is to compel his audience to stop and reflect on the wonderful yet simplistic joys of life.
